I remember hearing the news whilst driving in my car - the radio played Eva Cassidy - I just posted the song. I had to stop driving as I couldn't see for the tears. The guy on the radio suggested we call our loved ones and tell them we loved them - I did. xxx
Hi Reese - our humans told us that today is a thoughtful day. We are thinking of what we are fortunate to still have and of those who lost so much. Snuggles - JD and Max.
I remember -- I was home recouperating from the shingles and I was sitting in front of the TV watching the horror unfold in front of me. To this day I have never seen any of that footage again which was aired live and I sat in utter despair and watch the second tower fall. We should never forget....
In 2001 my Daddycat was in the same class with one of the girls who lost their Daddy. He was one of the pilot of the first Twin Towers plane crash. Both girls were out for a month and Nanny saw both of them graduating High School in 2004. Nanny felt sad for the girls growing up without their Dad. We will always remember too!
This was a terrible day and I will not forget the innocent who sacrificed their lives and those who gave their lives to serve and protect the others. ♥
We remember!
